Emergency Medical Service vehicles are designed to carry specialized equipment and medications for a vast amount of medical emergencies. There are a wide variety of ambulances such as, Stroke Trucks which carry equipment specifically for the specialized pre-hospital care that is needed for stroke patients and NICU Ambulances which specialize in critical care transport for neonates. EMS vehicles do not just stop at ambulances though! There are, Squad cars which typically carry advanced life support and operational equipment. There are also Medivacs which are medical helicopters. In reality they are all just taxi’s sponsored by Medicare. Go save that toe pain patient!
